#16 healing poetry; it’s you and me

I know that you can’t talk right now
And your is heart is breaking
You’re feeling snowed under
Like you’re not worth the waking

But you’re the dawn of a thousand stars for me
You’re the opening wonder to this mornin’ symphony
And I wait in the wings of the shadows you hold
Whispering baby, it’s okay, I’m close

I can see that your shoulders are heavy
You’re holdin’ on, to people and places long gone
Was it ever easy sweetheart? Hold me
And sing me to sleep with our song

If we dance through the night
The shadows can’t catch you
If we light it up –
You know I’ve got you

I’m feelin snowed under
And I know you see it too
So when you take my hand
And show me how to play
That guitar –

you know you’ll make me say

We’re the dawn of a thousand stars,
and we’ll sing through these built up scars
to remember we’re the wonder of our morning symphony
It’s love honey, you and me.

Hey there. My name is Ash. Whenever I feel lost or confused, I write. This blog is a project in releasing the poetry I would have kept locked up inside, otherwise. It's pronounced 'LOU-lah-NA.' Enjoy your visit!
