A City That Melts Under the Sun

The sun carries

Heat like the waves

Carry light

In small spectacles

That override our

With glittering

That speak of

We can be whole.

I found you,

A long time ago

On the side of a

Road with

No name

With bushes

I was told

Never to

They were the

Houses of

Fairy folk

And this

Strange, heated

Filled with

And dreams

Is what hurts

When I must return

To land

And to a city

That melts

Under the sun

Hey there. My name is Ash. Whenever I feel lost or confused, I write. This blog is a project in releasing the poetry I would have kept locked up inside, otherwise. It's pronounced 'LOU-lah-NA.' Enjoy your visit!
